Come and join us!

We’re looking for year group reps to join us on the Towerbank Parent Council. You’ll need to come to one meeting a term, be willing to listen to and comment on things that matter to the school and to our children and to feedback to the rest of your year group’s parents. It won’t take too much of your time and could really help the school out.

For more information contact Ruth or Andrea or come to the Parent Council meeting on Tuesday 8th March, 7-9pm in the staff room.

Portobello High School – Renewal of Planning Permission

An application to renew the Planning Permission for the proposed new Portobello High School has been lodged. Planning permission was originally granted on 24 February 2011 but this consent expires on 23 February 2014. Whilst COEC believes the Private Bill process can be concluded before then, renewed consent is being sought as a precaution.

More information can be found on the Council’s Planning Portal.

Anyone wishing to support, object to, or comment on the application can do so via the Planning Portal, or can e-mail planning@edinburgh.gov.uk, quoting the planning reference 13/03200/FUL and giving their name and address. The deadline for comments is Friday 20th September.
