The Best Dressed Teddy Competition
With the sun shining and the rain holding off (just) The Towerbank Summer Picnic proved a great success with hot competition for the prize of “Best Dressed Teddy”.
Over 56 entries adorned the tartan stage with outfits inspired by fairy tales, superheroes and the picnic theme itself!
First prize of a £5 gift voucher for Cove (many thanks to Libby Torrie) went to :
Luke (and Daisy) Davidson P1C for their clever and timeous use of their picnic accoutrements to create a Robin Hood-esque theme to “Blackie and Angel”
Second Place and a £3 voucher for Cove went to Leila Gamal of P5B with “Lily” who showed great effort in handmaking her teddy’s skirt and necklace ensemble!
Third prize and a £2 voucher went to Rebecca Hughes of P5A with “Rapunzel” judged on the sheer effort in her teddy’s head to toe adornment.
An award of Highly Commended went to Sandy Henry of P2C for a fabulously original and entirely handmade outfit for his teddy ‘Roby’.
